accommodation options in Mexico

Hola to those who'd been to Mexico before:

Can you recommend some nice and affordable places to stay in places like Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Chichen Itza, Palenque, and Mexico City? My budget is between $15 to $35 per night, private room preferred as I go to bed pretty early and am always scared of party animals (please don't laugh if this looks weird to you! )

Trip is coming closer (leaving on March-6) but I still not figure out where to stay and whether I should book rooms ahead of time! Big sigh///

yes I do have a LP Mexico but most budget places listed there don't have a website. I was just trying to figure out a place that'd be affordable so I can book in advance especially in places such as PdC and Tulum, in case there will be packed with tourists around that time.

I'm travelling alone so I guess finding someone to share a room is not quite feasible even though that'd ideal to get a nice place with nice price! ~
