去新西兰自助游 澳大利亚悉尼过境签问题

    南航订的广州往返基督城机票，去程4月10号（奥克兰中转，转机时间2.5小时），回程4月28号（悉尼中转，转机时间5小时）。
 
    关于过境签的问题，首先，看到澳洲移民局官方网站（http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/transit/no-visa.htm）上的说法如下：

depart Australia by air within 8 hours of the scheduled time of their arrival

4. People who are nationals of the People's Republic of China and who hold Hong Kong (SAR China) passports.
 
    如果根据以上说法，我的情况（即：5小时转机 & 中国公民）应该是不需要申请过境签的吧？
